The ATEN Professional Online UPS is a distinctive and innovative electrical device that provides backup power to a load when the input power source, or the mains, fails. The basic technology of an online UPS is the same as that of a standby or line-interactive UPS, but the ATEN Professional Online UPS provides a much higher current of AC-to-DC battery charger/rectifier, with the rectifier and inverter designed to run continuously with improved cooling systems.
The vast majority of hardware failures can be directly attributed to the stress that hardware components endure during the shut-down and startup processes, particularly when power surges or blackouts are present. With severe weather, an ageing electrical grid, and potential hazards within your own walls, your equipment is constantly under attack from power outages. Even a brief loss of power, sag, or surge can destroy your equipment and irreplaceable data. Desktop computers, unlike laptops, do not have built-in batteries. If you are working on a desktop computer during a power outage, the system will come to a halt. Not only would you lose your work, but the process would also put undue strain on your machine.
If a UPS is present and a power outage occurs, the UPS's batteries will keep the power steady and unchanged. The ATEN Professional Online UPS automatically adjusts incoming AC power, provides battery backup to get through most outages, and saves open files. The UPS begins charging its batteries as soon as power is restored.
The online UPS unit continuously filters power from the wall via the battery system. Because the attached electronics are entirely powered by the battery (which is always charged by the external power supply), there is never a single millisecond of power interruption when there is a power outage or voltage regulation problem. By stabilising all of the electricity to which your devices are exposed, the online UPS unit acts as an electronic firewall between your devices and the outside world.
The UPS has one USB port and one serial port for connecting to and communicating with the connected computer. Installing power management software on the connected computer(s) provides IT professionals with the tools they need to easily monitor and manage backup power. This advanced software provides users with access to critical UPS battery conditions, load levels, and runtime information, as well as the unattended shutdown of network computers and virtual machines connected to a battery backup during a power outage.
With an LCD screen, the ATEN Professional Online UPS provides a new way to access detailed UPS settings and information. The backlit LCD screen shows information like input voltage, battery capacity, and more. It also has a three-button configuration interface and audible alarms for different modes of operation.
