The 3S delivers battery backup power in the case of a power failure and enhanced surge protection to guard against damage caused by lightning strikes or an unexpected grid surge. Also, the Eaton 3S Gen2 surge protector has an RJ11/xDSL connection to protect Internet gateways from data line disturbances.
